I have never been that much of a “social butterfly” so it was with some reluctance that I attended the Class of 1960’ s 50th reunion last spring. To my surprise, I had a wonderful evening and was surprised at how many attendees I knew. More importantly, each of the many classmates with whom I conversed was very friendly.   This event renewed many old friendships and provided many great memories for me.   All of us may have been “just a bit older,” but it really was like taking a time machine back to 1960.

At the 50th reunion, Bob McGovern invited me to join the next semi-annual Class of 1960 luncheon at the Llanerch County Club on November 17th; to my surprise this event brought more than 44 of my classmates together again. This time---since the ice was broken---I was much more comfortable and had a terrific time.  This event was inexpensive with great food and camaraderie and held in a great venue.  The interactions with many classmates were nostalgic, often filled with humorous anecdotes, and generated memories about our neighborhoods, our school, famous (and some infamous) Christian Brothers and our parishes.
